Before there were humans, there were the ocean, the mountains, and the wind. Eight million gods in the land of the rising sun, and countless creatures in the belly of its nights. As the humans took hold of Japan, so birthed malevolent supernatural entities in their grief, rage and jealousy of each other. Soothe them, vanquish them, keep them at bay to protect the very humans whose heartsores breathed them into being. Victory tastes sweet until one realises that the fight is never-ending.
